For reasons I can't explain, the bidding goes crazy on those. On a $45 budget you should be able to get a nice Postumus. Or a very nice Victorinus. Tetricus I and II saw the quality control at their mints go down the toilet, so there is a huge gap between "nice" and "superb" for them. As this is not the case, by default, their definition of 70 does not mean perfect. Pure gold 24k shouldn't tone, but most U.S. gold coins are only 90% gold w/ 10% copper. The inclusion of the copper in the mix does allow gold to tone, sometimes quite beautifully, though not as often or as wildly as silver tones.
